Description
Make classic point-and-click adventures. No code required.
Ignitor is a complete visual workstation for building 2D graphic adventures in the classic LucasArts/SCUMM style (and also more modern types like Full Throttle with verb coin): the kind of games where you pick up everything that isn’t nailed down and talk to everyone twice.
Design the blueprint of your whole game, your rooms and GUIs, wire your puzzles with dependency graph visibility, write your dialogs, cutscenes, and translations, and export a playable build, all from one integrated editor suite.
We see Ignitor as the Graphic Adventure Workstation, where you can manipulate everything inside the suite without code. Think of it as a DAW for adventure games: you don’t care how a VST plugin or a digital synth is made, and you don’t program raw code to make something sound “better”; you adjust faders and knobs, configure select lists, drag and drop elements. Same here.
Features
- Blueprint & Game Structure: map every room, auto-connect them, and organize chapters, intro, and credits.
- Room Editor: scrolling backgrounds, hotspots, walkable areas, walk-behinds, lighting, parallax, and a live test sandbox.
- Puzzle & reaction rules: a visual rule builder with a dependency graph; no scripting language to learn.
- Dialogs, cutscenes & Scene Orchestrator: branching conversations, scripted scenes, and keyframed sequences with effects.
- Characters, animation & voice: directional walk cycles, talk animations with lip-sync, and a built-in voice recorder.
- GUI Editor: the classic 9-verb SCUMM bar or a modern verb coin out of the box, or design your own.
- Items, audio & translation: inventory with usage graphs, per-room soundscapes, and string-table localization.
- Your art, your resolution: pixel-art or smooth, any logical resolution per project.
- Export: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Web from one project.
- Bilingual editor: the whole suite runs in English and Spanish.
History
Illusion Arts Studio has been making and loving adventure games since the AGS 2.0 days in 1999, and loving the genre even before that, since the ICOM MacVentures and the Lucasfilm classics. Ignitor is the workflow we always wished we had: a modern, integrated, no-code suite built specifically for the genre. It launched in August 2026.

AI disclosure
Transparency, the short version: only some art assets in the bundled demo project were AI-assisted, then modified and refined under strong studio art direction. The engine, the editor, the code, the music, and everything else is our own work. And for creators: games made with Ignitor carry their own AI disclosure based on their own assets; the demo’s disclosure doesn’t apply to your work. Bring hand-made pixel art, and your game is as no-AI as it gets.
